Gas analysis specialist Servomex has launched its new SERVOTOUGH Laser 3 Plus range comprising of the world’s smallest cross-stack Tunable Diode Laser (TDL) gas analysers.

Targeted at gas analysis in the hydrocarbon processing, fired process and power generation market sectors, the Laser 3 Plus product line is an upgrade of Servomex’s MiniLaser range.

All analysers in the range are a tenth of the size of other similar products and utilise the latest Wavelength Modulated Spectroscopy (WMS) measurement techniques coupled with Servomex’s unique signal processing technology for in-situ cross stack applications.

The Combustion, Process and Ammonia models make up the SERVOTOUGH Laser 3 Plus range, which are each specifically optimised for combustion, process control and ammonia applications, respectively.

The Laser 3 Plus Combustion is the latest addition to the product line. The oxygen (O2) version monitors O2 in flue gas, controlling gas levels to optimise combustion efficiency. Uniquely, it uses up to two absorbance lines to measure O2 from ambient to 1,500 oC, utilising air or nitrogen (N2) purge gases.

“The Laser 3 Plus analyser range is a remarkable 90% smaller and 80% lighter than many other comparable TDL analysers”

Rhys Jenkins, Photometric Product Manager, Servomex

The Laser 3 Plus Process instrument monitors O2 and carbon monoxide (CO) with Servomex’s cuvette line lock technology and is indispensable for safety applications.

The final device, the Laser 3 Plus Ammonia, monitors ammonia slip in both catalytic and non-catalytic nitrogen oxide (NOx) reduction systems in gas-fired, oil-fired and coal-fired processes. The analyser is ideal for low measurement ppm applications.

Rhys Jenkins, Photometric Product Manager at Servomex, commented, “Based around Servomex’s revolutionary Laser 3 Plus platform developed at our UK Technical Centre, the Laser 3 Plus analyser range is a remarkable 90% smaller and 80% lighter than many other comparable TDL analysers, whilst offering improved measurement availability and safety integration.”

“The Laser 3 Plus’s compact size and dramatically reduced footprint offers unparalleled installation flexibility and a host of cost and performance benefits.”
