Memphis-based nexAir has acquired Air Liquide liquid CO2 and dry ice facilities in Millington, Tennessee.
Just weeks after merging its branches with those of Praxair Distribution Southeast, nexAir has announced that the company has acquired Air Liquide’s liquid CO2 and dry ice facilities in Tennessee.
While not as sizable an acquisition as the 25 branches that the Praxair deal added – MDM reports it will result in five employees – it will see nexAir spinoff a new subsidiary, nexAir Carbonic, as they continue to strengthen their position in an increasingly active Southeast US and in the wake of last month’s gargantuan deal between Air Liquide and Airgas.
As reported on Modern Distribution Management:
Memphis, TN-based gases and welding supplies distributor nexAir has acquired Air Liquide’s liquid carbon dioxide and dry ice facilities in Millington, TN.
The organization’s five employees will join nexAir’s Tennessee operations. nexAir will operate this business through nexAir Carbonic, a wholly-owned subsidiary of nexAir.
This acquisition increases nexAir’s liquid carbon dioxide and dry ice offerings to the Mid-South.
