Praxair Canada is continuing the development of its network in the country with the purchase of a number of sites from fellow gases company Airgas.
Airgas and Praxair recently announced the deal, which involved the latter buying five of the former’s premises in western Canada – including Calgary, Red Deer, Edmonton, Regina and Saskatoon.
Matt White, president of Praxair Canada Inc., explained in a statement, “This strategic divestiture enables us to redeploy capital resources to our core business in British Columbia, where we look forward to serving our loyal customers for years to come.”
“This acquisition supports our growth strategy in western Canada and enables us to better serve our existing customers and home oxygen clients in Alberta and Saskatchewan,” he added.
