Flow-Cal, the market leader in software development for measurement data management in the natural gas and petroleum liquids sector, has secured another contract to complete the list of top five Eagle Ford Shale Producers.
The list of the top five companies drilling in the Eagle Ford Shale is based on the number of drilling permits issued by the Texas Railroad Commission. Long-time Flow-Cal customer, EOG Resources, ranks number one with the most drilling permits totalling 656.
The Eagle Ford Shale remains a hot commodity in Texas as advancements in drilling technologies are helping operators maximise their production of crude oil, natural gas and condensates. As the production in South Texas’ Eagle Ford Shale is only expected to increase, oil and gas production companies rely heavily on tools such as FLOWCAL to streamline operations and ensure data integrity.
The top producers utilise Flow-Cal’s integrated gas and liquids measurement solution to import, validate, edit and store hourly, daily, and/or batch data while meeting API audit trail requirements.
Companies such as Anadarko Petroleum and BHP Billiton, both top producers and Flow-Cal customers, use FLOWCAL as a single source for tracking all measurement data. These companies take advantage of the automation and robust features used to manage inventory and identify loss of product.
“We strive to offer a software package that the industry can rely on,” says Michael Squyres, Flow-Cal’s President and CEO. “Our focus is measurement and we never lose sight of that. Having the top producers use FLOWCAL reaffirms our position as leaders and experts in our field.”
Flow-Cal continues to capture the market share of not only producers but other segments of the industry, securing key players in the Midstream, Transmission and Distribution verticals.
