Safety is a priority for both gasworld and its readers. Therefore we were pleased to learn that Industrial Scientific’s Director of Emerging Technologies is set to present a webinar about the prevention of workplace injuries.
The online seminar will take place tomorrow, 28th March at 12pm CDT. It will see both Raghu Arunachalam, Director of Emerging Technologies at Industrial Scientific and Griffin Schultz, General Manager of Predictive Solutions, combine insights.
The webinar itself will review actionable information from a white paper entitled, ‘Predictive Analytics in Workplace Safety: Four Safety Truths that Reduce Workplace Injuries’.
The white paper describes how predictive analytics, which has already optimised several other industries, is now being used by safety professionals to predict and prevent workplace injuries.
Schultz and Arunachalam will share the results of research conducted by teams from Predictive Solutions and Carnegie Mellon University in the development of powerful safety analytics and prediction models.
Attendees will learn how the four safety truths can help organisations reduce safety incidents, and will hear real-world case examples of companies who are already successfully doing this. Lastly, Schultz and Arunachalam will review how the prediction models were built, tested and then applied in safety software systems.

Month on month the gasworld website continues to be the primary portal for information, on a global scale, about our industry - be it through the provision of news and features, or information in the expansive company directory section. Launched in 2004, it is the only independent online news provider and information portal for the global industrial gas community and the larger end-user markets. The website also now incorporates news for gasworld US and Specialty Gas Report.
