Paramagnetic oxygen measurement reaches new heights

ABB Automation GmbH, Swedish-Swiss multinational corporation headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, has expanded its extensive product portfolio of continuous gas analysers with the Magnos28 paramagnetic oxygen analyser – available in the Advance Optima and EasyLine series.

ABB can trace its rich heritage in continuous gas analysis as far back as 1929 when the company Hartmann & Braun introduced the world’s first carbon dioxide (CO2) analyser for combustion processes based on the thermal conductivity principle (Caldos), and in 1952 the first usable non-dispersive infrared analyser (Uras). Both product names are maintained in the market today and are recognised all over the world for their high performance and reliability.

Notable further technological breakthroughs include the gas-filled calibration cell in the late 80’s and the world’s first truly modular analyser system, Advance Optima, launched in 1996.
