Peak Scientific, a laboratory gas generator specialist, has launched a new dedicated gas generator solution for Japan’s leading precision instrument manufacturer, the Shimadzu Corporation.
Based on the Scottish-based company’s Genius 30 Series platform, the Genius 3051 has been designed specifically to provide a complete gas solution for Shimadzu’s LCMS-8050 and LCMS-8060 systems.
The 3051 model is a fully integrated generator compressor and has been devised to be a standalone, self-contained solution. It offers a single integrated gas source for two Shimadzu LC-MS when both operating with normal gas demand, and boasts a higher flow rate than its predecessor – the Genius 1051.
One output releases phthalate free, high-purity nitrogen (N2) at up to 26 litres per minute, whilst the other one generates dry air up to 20 litres per minute.
Petra Gierga, Peak Scientific’s Product Manager, highlighted, “We have worked closely with Shimadzu over recent years to develop a number of dedicated gas generators for their LC-MS instruments. The Genius 3051 is the latest fruit of that co-operation and we are both delighted and proud to be asked to engineer and supply this new approved solution.”
Peak Scientific, a laboratory gas generation specialist, has bagged a double triumph in the 2016 Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, in both the International Trade and the Innovation categories.
