Pfeiffer Vacuum, German manufacturer of vacuum pumps, celebrated the opening of its new production location in Cluj, Romania, on 26th September.
The continuous growth of the Pfeiffer Vacuum Group and the ongoing demand for vacuum technology made the modern new building necessary. It was inaugurated with some 140 guests, including employees, suppliers and partners as well as the German and French ambassadors. Several local representatives from the city were also present.
The city of Cluj is in the northwest of Romania. With around 320,000 inhabitants, it is the second largest city in the country. As a business location, Cluj concentrates primarily on information technology, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering sectors. The city has set up four industrial parks especially for this purpose. Cluj is the biggest university and administrative centre after Bucharest, the capital.
