Powerful evidence of strong momentum of China economy

The 16th Beijing Essen Welding and Cutting Fair was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, from 2nd to 5th June.

As one of the two largest welding shows in the world, the event occupied eight halls with a total area of 92,840 m2, with over 900 companies from 29 countries around the world showcasing their products and services.

The fair’s organiser told gasworld that there were more than 100 companies who missed the opportunity to participate in this grand event, because there was simply no more space for them – demonstrating the strong confidence in the market.

More than 27,888 visitors from 70 countries came to the fair to check out the latest solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of their welding and cutting procedures. According to the organiser, both the net exhibition area and the number of visitors were a record high for the fair, an increase of 16% and 35% respectively compared with last year. Such figures, it is suggested, provide powerful evidence of the strong momentum of the economy in China and the increasing demand in the Chinese market.
