Praxair, Inc. has been awarded a Bronze Class distinction in the RobecoSAM Sustainability Yearbook 2017 after being the sole industrial gases company on the list.
The recognition, which was awarded to the Tier One player for the 14th consecutive year, honours Praxair’s commitment to sustainability.
The industrial gas giant was one of 13 companies recognised with a distinction in the chemical sector and only one of two US companies named to the list.
Riva Krut, Praxair Chief Sustainability Officer, highlighted, “At all levels across the company, from our own operational resource efficiency to our engagement in our communities, to how we build value with our customers and suppliers, Praxair employees are acting on our mission of making our planet more productive.”
A RobecoSAM Bronze Class distinction is awarded to companies scoring within a range of 5-10% of the industry’s top performing company’s score. The yearbook from investment firm RobecoSAM provides an overview of its annual sustainability assessment and highlights key trends shaping each of the analysed industries.
Only the top 15% of corporate sustainability leaders were named to the yearbook in 2017 from almost 2,500 companies across 60 industries.
