Praxair China is to supply liquid argon to Nanjing Puzhen Rolling Stock Works, a subsidiary of China South Locomotive & Rolling Stock Corporation Ltd.
Nanjing Puzhen is a leading manufacturer of railway trains and cars, as well as urban metro trains in China. It is also the research and development centre for high-speed multiple-unit trains and double-decker air-conditioned trains.
The liquid argon that Praxair China supplies to Puzhen will be used for welding processes during vehicle production.
“Winning this contract with Puzhen, the premier state-owned company for rail transit vehicle manufacturing in China, is very encouraging,” said David Chow, President of Praxair China.
