Praxair, Inc. joins Air Products in the Carbon Disclosure Project’s Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index. The firm constitutes one of only ten companies to have achieved the accolade for four consecutive years.
With a disclosure score of 93, Praxair is ranked 23rd best performing company in the world for carbon disclosure and the 9th best performing among Standard & Poors’ 500.
Riva Krut, Director of Sustainability at Praxair commented on the achievement, “Our selection reflects Praxair’s ongoing commitment to reduce our environmental footprint by remaining committed to our greenhouse-gas goals and demonstrating the continued value we provide to our customers by improving their energy efficiency and environmental performance.”
The global carbon disclosure is comprised of the leading 52 companies among 500 of the world’s largest corporations. The disclosure index weighs companies on the basis of reporting carbon management.
