Praxair is notifying packaged industrial, specialty and medical gas and bulk gas customers in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico of increases in prices, effective from 1st January, 2015 – or as contracts permit.
The increase are as follows:
Price adjustments will vary as permitted by individual supply contracts.
These adjustments will help address rising product costs from suppliers and increasing operating costs at production and distribution facilities, driven, in part, by higher power, raw material, and wage and benefit costs.
Increases in metals prices continue to drive up costs for cylinders, bulk tanks and gas handling equipment.
Praxair announced it has signed a long-term contract to provide hydrogen to Repsol, one of the world’s largest producers of petrochemicals. The new steam methane reformer (SMR) will be constructed at Repsol’s La Pampilla Refinery, in the Callao district, near Lima, and is expected to start up in 2016.
Month on month the gasworld website continues to be the primary portal for information, on a global scale, about our industry - be it through the provision of news and features, or information in the expansive company directory section. Launched in 2004, it is the only independent online news provider and information portal for the global industrial gas community and the larger end-user markets. The website also now incorporates news for gasworld US and Specialty Gas Report.
