Praxair, Inc. has been awarded a Silver Class distinction in the RobecoSAM Sustainability Yearbook 2018 after being the only industrial gases company to be recognised.
The recognition, which was awarded to the Tier One player for the 15th consecutive year, honours Praxair’s commitment to sustainability.
The industrial gas giant was one of nine companies recognised with a distinction in the chemical sector and the only US company named on the list.
Riva Krut, Praxair’s Chief Sustainability Officer, highlighted, “It is important for corporations to step up and help address global challenges through their business practices and we are proud that Praxair is being recognised for doing so. RobecoSAM is identifying companies that they consider to be good investments based on a variety of metrics including Environmental, Social and Governance factors.”
A RobecoSAM Silver Class distinction is awarded to companies scoring within a range of 1-5% of the industry’s top performing company’s score. The yearbook from investment firm RobecoSAM provides an overview of its annual sustainability assessment and highlights key trends shaping each of the analysed industries.
