Praxair subsidiary receives ISO 9001:2001 certification

AMKO Service Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Praxair, has received ISO 9001:2000 certification from Quality Systems Registrars for its US facilities in Dover and Gnadenhutten, Ohio; Adelanto, California; Hope, Arkansas; and Stockertown, Pennsylvania.

The scope of this certification includes the design, manufacture, rehab, repair and testing of cryogenic trailers, tube trailers, high-pressure pumping equipment, storage tanks, railcars, and carbon dioxide trailers as well as speciality services such as equipment painting, vacuum-jacketed piping and fluid control module manufacturing.

“AMKO’s ongoing commitment to customer satisfaction and continual process improvement in the areas of cycle time, on-time delivery, and productivity is reflected in this certification,” said Mike Sinicropi, president of AMKO Service Company. “Our quality management system is critical to our success in meeting the needs of our customers.”

According to Praxair AMKO is a premier provider of a broad range of turnkey equipment and service offerings for industrial gas producers, oilfield service companies, and cryogenic liquid and gas haulers. These offerings include cryogenic equipment and services; compressed gas equipment and services; retesting services; modules; carbon dioxide equipment and services; and piping design, installation and fabrication.
