Qualitrol has introduced two innovations to enhance the usability of its online Gas Chromatography DGA monitor, TMx.
Qualitrol now offers an optional helium gas carrier gas cylinder with a usage lifetime of 12 years (up from five) and has extended the calibration gas lifetime to five years (up from three).
Qualitrol teamed up with a global gas manufacturer to offer users its TMx Online DGA monitor an ultra-high-volume helium cylinder.
The cylinders contain more gas than conventional cylinders but have similar dimensions, ergonomics, and safety classification. The cylinders also utilise advanced materials to achieve increased pressure rating.
The valve on the cylinder includes an integrated regulator that steps the outlet supply pressure down to approximately 9,000 kPa (1,300 psig), meaning the new high capacity cylinder is compatible with all of Qualitrol’s existing regulators and gas tubing.
Based on production and testing processes, industry experience, and access to a global network of research and development facilities, Qualitrol along with its calibration gas supplier, has also created a calibration gas cylinder that extends the usable life of the TMx calibration gas cylinder from three years to five years.
The two new innovations result in a 60% reduction in site visits to manage consumable gases while ensuring the Qualitrol Serveron TMx monitor provides lifelong, high accuracy, laboratory grade DGA data.
