UK-based Rhino Doors has launched a new subsidiary to manufacturer hydrogen safety products.

Called Rhino HySafe, the new business will provide hydrogen stations with specifically engineered products to reduce any potential risks which could result an issue on site.

Sitting beneath the Rhino Engineering Group, Rhio HySafe will focus on products such as panels, cladding and venting technology designed to protect both workers and buildings.

The launch of the company is a result of a funding award from the Welsh Government, as part of its SMART Cymru Project which supports business development and commercialisation of products.

On the formation, Stuart Lawrence, Group Managing Director of Rhino Engineering Group, said, “We are very pleased to be launching Rhino HySafe, as we continue to expand our range of products and services for companies in the hydrogen market.”

“We are especially thankful to the Welsh Government and the SMART Cymru Project for their generous funding which will allow us to scale up our manufacturing and continue on our path of sustainable growth.”

Leading Rhio HySafe, Andrew Davies, a longstanding employee oh Rhino Doors, has been appointed as Project General Manager.

Commenting on his appointment, he said, “Having been with Rhino Doors for 16 years, I have witnessed the organisation’s transformation with respect to scale and scope, particularly over the last five years.”

“I am delighted to now be leading with the new development and I look forward to contributing to its success, as well as the continued growth of the wider Rhino Engineering Group.”
