Rotarex Firetec, a business unit of Rotarex SA, has introduced a next-generation constant-flow pressure regulator for fixed fire protection systems that use inert gas (IG).
The lightweight and compact IG pressure regulator modulates constant pressure of between 40-60 bar and is 30% lighter than its competitors.
By reducing constant discharge pressure to this level, the instrument prevents high-pressure waves which can can cause serious structural damage whilst additionally preventing adiabatic freeze-ups, avoiding possible malfunctions.
Additionally, by reducing these pressure waves, low pressure manifolds and pipework can be utilised making it easier and less expensive to locate and fit pressure vents in protected spaces.
The equipment can be removed, recharged and reconnected easily and has been designed to increase productivity via easier handling and installation.
Rotarex Firetec is based in Luxembourg and has over 80 years’ experience in developing and engineering fire suppression valves.
With 10 factories and 30 sales and logistics centres shipping its products to over 65 countries around the world, Rotarex S.A. is at the forefront of the global gas control equipment business, as CEO and Chairman Jean-Claude (J.C.) Schmitz explains in an interview with gasworld magazine.
Rotarex, a Luxembourg-based gas control equipment innovator, has manufactured the first integrated valves designed specifically for calibration gas applications.
Month on month the gasworld website continues to be the primary portal for information, on a global scale, about our industry - be it through the provision of news and features, or information in the expansive company directory section. Launched in 2004, it is the only independent online news provider and information portal for the global industrial gas community and the larger end-user markets. The website also now incorporates news for gasworld US and Specialty Gas Report.
