Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao has chosen Servomex to supply its Shanghai plant with new analysers as part of a major revamp.
The first of Servomex’s SERVOTOUGH Oxy oxygen analysers to be supplied to China will be installed at a major phenol/acetone plant belonging to Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao.
Four SERVOTOUGH Oxy analysers will replace the existing analysers in a revamping project at the Shanghai-based 200kt/a phenol/acetone plant, which has been in operation since 2004.
The Oxy units will monitor for residual oxygen levels in the off gases of the oxidation reactor, a crucial measurement in the refining process that requires high levels of accuracy and reliability to ensure critical safety levels are maintained.
