Servomex has officially opened a brand new technical centre based in Crowborough, East Sussex, UK, further strengthening its global analysis equipment operations.
Customers, suppliers and Servomex representatives from around the world were present at an official opening ceremony, which featured the unveiling of a commemorative plaque by John O’Higgins, CEO of parent company Spectris plc.
Replacing the company’s former ageing premises, currently divided across two nearby sites, the flagship building merges Servomex’s sales and marketing, production, management and R&D facilities and staff under one roof.
Also representing a multi-million pound investment, the 51,000 square foot, two-storey facility has been designed and built to the latest environmental standards, including the use of heat exchangers to maximise heating efficiency and motion sensor lighting to reduce power wastage.
“Servomex is immensely proud to be opening this new technical centre, which will greatly strengthen the backbone of our global operations,” said Chris Cottrell, Managing Director of Servomex.
“This state-of-the-art facility will enable us to increase support to all our operations, bringing a range of benefits from optimised response times for orders, service and support to ensure Servomex continues to develop and innovate the world’s best gas analysers.”
The opening of the technical centre is the highlight of a global rebrand for Servomex, which has introduced a range of customer-focused changes to its worldwide operations including a business reorganisation, a new website, and the recent opening of three business centres in Shanghai, Houston and Zoetermeer in Holland.
