SIAD Macchine Impianti has signed a contract with Yara Praxair to supply the Scandinavian industrial and medical gases company with an AFPLN 3000 air separation plant (ASU).
The new ASU, which will produce liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon for a total of 170 tons per day of products, will allow Yara Praxair to supply these technical gases to the Perstorp industrial complex in Sweden, otherwise known as Perstorp Industrial Park.
According to a SIAD news release, the gases will also be used to develop the market in the fast growing region of Öresund in both Sweden and Denmark.
The Perstorp Industrial Park, surrounded by the Skåne region's beech woods, employs almost 2000 people in Research & Development activities and in the production of high-tech products including special chemical products and materials for the electronics industry.
SIAD Macchine Impianti will take care of the entire process of planning, building the modules of the ASU and of the mechanical and instrumental assembly at the production site. It will also carry out all pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities (forecast for 2012) through its specialised technicians who will work at the site along with the specialised PRAXAIR technicians.
SIAD Macchine Impianti will also be able to guarantee constant assistance from its central headquarters in Bergamo through the remote control service carried out through a remote connection with the plant's supervisory station, the company notes.
