SOL reports on a strong increase of consolidated sales for the first quarter 2006.
SOL has reported a strong increase of 13.3 per cent on consolidated sales and a good performance of gross operating profit, equal to 23.1 per cent.
2006 consolidated sales of â‚¬95.8m, were up 13.3 per cent on 2005 (â‚¬84.5m), EBITDA â‚¬22.1m (+12.6 per cent compared with â‚¬19.6m at 31/03/05) EBIT â‚¬11m (up 10.7 per cent versus â‚¬9.9m of Q1 05), consolidated net profit of â‚¬5.7 (up 26.4 per cent on Q1 05).
Marco Annoni, vice president of SOL SpA affirmed: "We consider the results achieved in these first three months of 2006 to be positive.
"The results show significant growth and good profitability, despite the continuous increase of the energy costs. It is a significant signal that confirms our choices about production plant strengthening, product and service range enlargement, internationalisation and diversification in the homecare business."
"In the year 2006," concluded SOL chairman Aldo Romario, "we expect to consolidate the increasing trend of turnover and to improve the profitability of the group."
