Solomon Associates, a key performance improvement company for the global energy industry is hosting the 2010 Executive European Benchmarking Summit. The conference will be held in Cologne, Germany at the Hyatt Regency between 22nd and 23rd June. This year’s event will feature one-to-one advice sessions for delegates looking to improve plant performance.
The Summit, now in its third year, is aimed to help power generation companies develop operational and business processes. Individual presentations will include;
• Explanation of how current Solomon’s clients are employing benchmark data to make performance improvements.
• Discussion of ways in which carbon trading and renewables are altering the face of CCGT and coal plants.
• How to measure the cost implications of maintenance risk, translating downtime into lost revenues.
Ed Platt, Vice President of power for Solomon Associates, said, “The European summit has been a valuable venue for power generators seeking to drive efficiencies and increase their margins. At the request of attendees, we have added to this year’s agenda 90-minute, one-on-one consulting sessions with a Solomon Associates expert, to discuss an issue of the attendee’s choosing on a confidential basis. Slots for these sessions are filling up quickly, however, so it important to schedule one soon.”
The announcement followed significant new company expansion, which saw Michael Hileman become the Vice President for Asia and new offices open in Singapore. These changes came in response to the growing demand of clients in the Pacific Rim and South Asia.
