Minneapolis Oxygen, a family-owned business and independent distributor of industrial gas and welding supplies, has announced a string of personnel changes including the retirement of an industry veteran and three staff promotions.
Firstly, James ‘Jim’ Warrick, Vice-President of Sales, has announced his retirement after 42 years in the industry – 37 of which he spent with Minneapolis Oxygen.
The company’s President Mark Falconer imparted, “Jim’s background, knowledge and enthusiasm will be missed, but we wish him and his wife, Laura, the very best in retirement.”
Brian Henrickson has been named as Minneapolis Oxygen’s new Vice-President of Operations, where he will oversee plant and store operations and trucking for company locations. He joined the company in 2011, coming from American Welding and Gas.
Mike Horvat moves to the position of Regional Sales Manager where he will work to grow and manage sales and sales teams in the Twin Ports area, whilst Dana Sorensen will lead the Twin Cities-based sales team and organisation-wide marketing efforts as Sales and Marketing Manager.
Minneapolis Oxygen was founded in 1946, operating out of one location with three employees. By 1969, the company had grown to 20 employees and two employees, offering cylinder filling and bulk delivery capabilities in the Twin Cities area. Today, the company’s 50 employees work out of five locations, with seven route delivery trucks and three bulk delivery trucks that serve the Twin Cities, Western Wisconsin and the Duluth/Iron Range regions.
