The 15th edition of the SIAD Trophy, the now ‘classic’ boat race dedicated to 12ft Dinghies, was held recently in the Gulf of Portofino, Italy.
The event, organised by Bergamo-based multinational SIAD – a leader in the production of technical and special gases – in collaboration with Yacht Club Italiano, attracts a number of fans each year and is now regarded as a ‘classic’ of the Italian sailing season.
This year’s SIAD Trophy took place on 20th May in Portofino, on the Italian Riviera.
The SIAD trophy is the offshoot of SIAD Chairman Roberto Sestini’s passion for the sea and his avowed intention of linking the still pristine world of sailing with the image of his company – constantly engaged in researching and adopting new environment-friendly technologies and services, but also in supporting social and cultural initiatives.
