Air Liquide and Hefei Institutes of Physical Science of the Chinese Academy of Science (HFIPS) will boost the development and manufacturing of helium refrigeration systems in China as part of a new joint venture.
The companies today (8th) shared the announcement, stating that the venture will support the evolution of large scientist research experiments in the country.
High-tech equipment, based on the expertise in extreme cryogenics, helium refrigerators are needed in many scientific instruments such as superconducting power equipment, superconducting accelerators, superconducting magnets, fusion devices or other scientific laboratories.
In a statement, Air Liquide said it will bring its knowledge of extreme cryogenics and know-how in the design and manufacturing of helium refrigerators. HFIPS will share its expertise in specific cryogenics applications and understanding of research needs and organisations in China.
