Earlier today, Air Products announced across the board price increases for liquid and bulk industrial gas products. Products which will be affected include oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and helium.
The North American company, Air Products has announced today that prices of products and monthly service charges for merchant customers are to increase. The price hike will affect merchant customers based in North America and will apply as follows:
• 4-8% for liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, liquid argon, liquid and bulk hydrogen
• 5-10% for liquid and bulk helium
• 3-5% monthly service charges
The company has specified that further price adjustments might occur outside of these ranges according to, “other specific situations.”
Air Products justifies these changes as needed action to offset higher operating costs and increased input costs. The company stated, “We are taking aggressive actions internally to mitigate rising costs by reinvesting to improve efficiencies and maintain reliable supply.”
Meanwhile, the firm was keen to reiterate the impact of last month’s recent crude helium price increase.
