Angola LNG launches pipeline construction


The Angola LNG project in south central Africa has made some progress in recent weeks, according to the Director of Public Relations for Angola LNG, Laurentino Silva.

Petroleum Africa reports that Silva explained the program for the construction of the pipeline to carry associated gas from the sea to the coast has now been launched.

Silva said that the 25km extension project will last 18 months and has been contracted out to two firms.

The pipeline will have three lines of 22, 20, and 18 inches, including an accessory in fibre optics for electronic control of pressure, temperature and detection of failures.
