Japanese chemical company Asahi Kasei has started operations at a new hydrogen pilot plant in Kawasaki, Japan after an official opening which took place on May 13th, 2024.
The plant is built to test the company’s new Aqualyzer alkaline water electrolyser system under realistic conditions.
According to the company, it will trial four 0.8 megawatt modules as part of the multi-module 100 MW-class system designed for green hydrogen production.
