A joint Australia-based study that will explore the exploration and extraction of natural – or ‘white’ – hydrogen and helium on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia is now underway.
As part of the study, consultant Black & Veatch (B&V) will provide two concept designs on hydrogen and helium technology expert H2EX’s exploration licence PEL 691.
One concept design will involve the drilling and completion of a hydrogen exploration well, while the other will handle purifying, processing and delivering natural hydrogen and helium on the surface.
This will include the potential for possible co-production if both gases are found together.
