Norwegian ammonia bunkering specialist Azane Fuel Solutions (Azane) will explore the potential of using Amogy’s ammonia-to-power system on board its bunker vessel concept.
Announced at the Argus Clean Ammonia Europe Conference, the partners have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to study the feasibility of integrating Azane’s ammonia fuel feeder solution into the Amogy power system.
To date, Amogy has achieved successful demonstrations of its ammonia-to-power system in various applications including a 5 kilowatt (kW) drone, a 100 kW tractor and a 300 kW semi-truck.
Having developed an ammonia fuel bunker vessel concept with an ammonia cargo handling system, Azane revealed that it is now looking for solutions to enable carbon-free propulsion of the ammonia bunker vessel.
