BOC shines a light on the properties of gases


BOC is highlighting the role of gases to a whole new generation of young people, as it explains the science behind the products it supplies to virtually every industry in the UK.

A member of The Linde Group, BOC is taking part in the Schools Programme at this year’s British Science Festival, held from 5th-10th September at the University of Surrey in Guildford.

Gases play an integral role in everything from steelmaking, medical and food applications, to the party balloons available in every high street. It’s this crucial role that often goes unnoticed and BOC will be lauding to a new generation of young individuals.

The company will be running a series of demonstrations during the festival showing some of the more interesting scientific properties of the gases in the air around us, such as oxygen and nitrogen, as well as other less common gases like hydrogen and helium.
