BOC, a subsidiary of the globally successful Linde Group, has recently won accreditation as a testing laboratory for its UK operations.
The accreditation was awarded by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). Specifically, the firm was awarded ISO/IEV17025 accreditation in recognition of the organisation’s exceptional level of technical competence achieved in analytical testing, alongside its ability to meet the strict standards set out by UKAS. In an official press statement, parent firm, the Linde Group described the move as a ‘significant extension’ to Linde’s current scope as a gas calibration laboratory.
Stephen Harrison, Head of Speciality Gases and Speciality Equipment at Linde Gases Division, commented on the news, “We are delighted with this accreditation as a testing laboratory. It validates our gas analysis competence to a highly sophisticated level and makes us one of an elite number of organisations to offer this type of gas analytics.”
He continued, “Analytical capabilities drive change – resulting in improvements to the quality of the air we breathe, the food we eat and the environment around us. This accreditation reaffirms Linde’s place at the forefront of gas technology and as a pioneer in helping to improve safety and quality of life.”
