California’s 30th retail hydrogen (H2) station opens


California Fuel Cell Partnership (CaFCP) has announced that the Torrance Shell hydrogen (H2) station has been upgraded and is now open to the public.

The new facility is the only H2 station in the United Sates, and one of the few in the world, to be fed by a H2 pipeline.

The upgrade was funded by the California Energy Commission (CEC) and administered by the South Coast Air Quality Management. Upgrade activities were undertaken by station operator Shell.
