Can hydrogen mobility scale?

The US fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) market has evolved slowly compared with battery electric vehicles (BEVs). It is a market and opportunity that has been shaped by policy shifts, infrastructure demands, and regional hotspots. 

California remains the market epicenter today. Beyond the West Coast, the growth picture has been constrained by hydrogen refueling infrastructure gaps and other realities. Federal incentives under the former Biden administration offered renewed momentum, but the challenges that have prevailed have been proved hard to shake off.
