Carbon capture agreement to advance CCUS in Australia
Australia is set to accelerate technology advancements for carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS) through an agreement signed between the Korean CCUS Association (K-CCUS) and leading research organisation CO2CRC.
The two organisations will collaborate on research and field demonstrations at CO2CRC’s Otway International Test Centre in Australia.
K-CCUS – a member-based organisation – was born from Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, in addition to private sector and academic stakeholders.
“This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recognises K-CCUS as an important partner in advancing break-through low emission technologies assisted through Australia’s International Partnership Program,” said Dr Matthis Raab, Chief Executive, CO2CRC.
