Chart Cryogenic Engineering Systems (Changzhou) Co., Ltd. (CCESC) has received approval from the Korean Gas Safety Corporation (KGSC) for cryogenic pressure vessels manufactured by Chart’s Distribution & Storage Group in China, with an extended product scope to include Heat Exchangers manufactured by Chart’s Energy & Chemicals Group in China.
Between 8-12th November (2010), a joint review team, including three experts from KGSC, performed the audit of the ASME and DOT 4L quality systems. In those four days, the team reviewed the Chart quality manual and related procedures.
They also audited all the processes of design, material control, welding control, non- destructive examination control, heat treatment, fabrication, examination and inspection control, calibration control, correction of non-conformity, and record retention.
Fabrication demonstrations of transportable cylinders, cryogenic tanks, and heat exchangers were performed, during which the Joint Review Team could witness Chart’s welding process.
