Chart Industries has partnered with GasLog LNG Services to explore the feasibility of a commercial-scale liquid hydrogen supply chain from export markets in the Middle East to customers in Europe and Asia.
The US cryogenic equipment manufacturer and LNG shipping service specialist will combine both of their expertise to benefit industries and users globally.
Paolo Enoizi, CEO of GasLong, said, “I have confidence that our combined experience from the cryogenic industries will ensure the safety and efficiency of novel liquid hydrogen supply chains across the world.”
One advantage of liquid hydrogen over gaseous hydrogen is its higher energy density. Liquid hydrogen takes up around one-seventh of the volume of hydrogen in the gaseous state.
