Compressed Gas Association hosts Japanese delegation


The Compressed Gas Association (CGA) yet again played an important role in strengthening industry safety in recent weeks, when it kindly hosted Japanese delegates to share knowledge and expertise.

On 20th May the CGA hosted representatives from the Japan Industrial and Medical Gases Association (JIMGA) and Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corp. The representatives met with senior CGA staff, including the CGA President, to share knowledge and expertise on safety and environmental practices.

Discussions focused on standards for the safe delivery of hydrogen and global climate change, both of which are active issues in the US and Japan alike.

The delegation was given a tour and fuelling demonstration at a Shell/Air Products hydrogen refuelling station in Washington, DC, while General Motors Corp. also demonstrated the 700 bar refuelling of a state-of-the-art fuel cell powered SUV.
