Cordatus Capital and B&J Welding partner for growth

Texas-based private investment firm Cordatus Capital has partnered with B&J Welding Supply to help the packaged gas distributor grow both its geographical footprint and product range.

B&J Welding has been active in West Texas since 1977 for the supply of industrial gases and propane to the industrial, energy, agricultural, and medical markets. The investment from Cordatus will help to further grow these services.

Jason Jones, CEO of B&J Welding Supply, said he is proud to partner with Cordatus in its latest initiative aimed at expanding to new markets and elevating the customer experience.

Jones continued, “We understand that every customer is different, and that’s why we take the time to listen and truly understand their needs. By focusing on personalised service, we’re able to build strong relationships and deliver exceptional results.”

B&J Welding was founded by Bob Jones in Lamesa, Texas. After his passing in 1998, his son assumed ownership. In 2004, the Snyder location was established, and four years later, the Amarillo site opened. With the opening of a Lubbock location in 2011, the company built an in-house cylinder fill facility.

The company is the largest independent welding supply company from Albuquerque to Dallas.

Kevin Lippicott, Partner at Cordatus, said, “B&J Welding Supply has differentiated itself with exceptional customer service, product quality, and industry relationships. We are excited to partner with Jason and the strong team at B&J Welding Supply to support its next phase of growth.”
