Deltamarin and ECOLOG have developed a new liquid carbon dioxide (LCO2) carrier.
The duo said the new design has been carefully studied. During the preliminary design phase, several solutions were considered to optimise the vessel for transporting LCO2.
As part of this, they exploded various configurations for the cargo containment and handling system, considering the diverse range of CO2 compositions.
LNG DF propulsion, shore power (AMP), and wind assistance are also integrated into the design and help to minimise the carrier’s environmental footprint.
