E-fuel industry urges EU to recognise Sustainable Alternative Fuels in Net-Zero Industry Act


In a concerted effort to shape the European Union’s clean energy future, the E-fuel industry has issued a call to action for a consistent definition of Sustainable Alternative Fuels in the Net Zero Industry Act (NZIA).

Their plea is underpinned by a dual-pronged agenda: to harmonise with existing EU policies on transport and fuels while championing a holistic approach to sustainable fuel technologies.

At the core of this plea is a vision for a Europe that leads the way in decarbonising its transport sector while nurturing innovation and embracing renewable, low-carbon solutions across industries. 

The industry’s collective voice emphasises the need to create a robust domestic production capacity for Sustainable Alternative Fuels, ensuring energy security and independence in the face of burgeoning demand and potential foreign supply dependencies.
