€130m ASU contract secures Linde’s lead in China

After publicising a positive first fiscal half to 2011, Linde has also revealed the planned construction of two large air separation plants in China.

The Linde Group is set to build and operate two large air separation plants to supply gases on site to the Chinese company Yantai Wanhua in Shandong. The contract value is anticipated at €130m and was signed on 26th July 2011.

$quot;This order is also a further confirmation of our successful expansion in a region of dynamic growth,$quot; said Sanjiv Lamba, the Linde AG Executive Board member responsible for the Asian business of the group. $quot;This project will enable us to strengthen our position as the leading gases and engineering company in China.$quot;
