EcoCeres signs SAF supply contract with British Airways


Renewable fuels producer EcoCeres is to supply sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to the global airline British Airways under a multi-year agreement.

The deal will help the UK flag carrier reduce its lifecycle carbon emissions by around 400,000 tonnes.

EcoCeres will provide SAF produced from 100% biomass feedstock from waste, such as used cooking oil.

British Airways has committed to powering 10% of its flights with SAF by 2030. Last year SAF accounted for 2.7% of its total fuel use.
