EIGA celebrates 100th anniversary at annual Winter Summit


The European Industrial Gases Association (EIGA) Winter Summit 2023 has begun in Antwerp, Belgium, marking the 100th anniversary of the organisation. With the organisation having formed on 15th December 1923, the centenary symposium is this year being held at Radisson Blu Astrid hotel located in the heart of the city.

gasworld joins over 200 attendees who have come together from across the world for the event. Spanning two days, the Summit explores a range of topics, including food gases, the development of medical gases and how industry can respond to global pandemics, gases for additive manufacturing, and hydrogen and oxygen safety.

Opening the day’s proceedings on Thursday, 26th January, Pascal Vinet, President of EIGA emphasised the mission of the organisation and industrial gas as a whole, declaring, “As EIGA has done in its first 100 years, the industrial gas industry will continue to have a major impact on society as a whole.”
