GCE Medical showcases global suite of gas control tech at Arab Health medical expo

Global manufacturer of gas control equipment GCE Group – part of ESAB Corporation – has launched what it calls the industry’s ‘first full global offering’ of medical gas control equipment and technologies at the Arab Health medical expo held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The event took place between 29th January – 2nd February and featured a range of GCE Medical technologies including products from GCE Healthcare, Ohio Medical, Amvex and Therapy Equipment Ltd.

According to the company, the line of showcased equipment is the first to meet compliance standards from around the world for a range of gas control needs including central gas systems, suction and oxygen therapy, valves and high pressure regulators, source gas equipment, ambulance gas systems and cylinder equipment, and homecare solutions.

“We are proud to prioritise safety within all our brands – on a global scale – by adhering to regulatory standards in all the markets we serve,” said Christian Borrie, Director – NPI, Key Accounts and Marketing Communications GCE Medical.

These standards extend to European Union Medical Device Regulation (Eu MDR) and global quality management systems such as ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015, 45001:2018 and 13485:2016.

“The EU MDR provides a regulatory framework that ensures a high level of safety and reliability for all medical devices sold in the EU,” he added.

During the event, GCE Medical also unveiled its Duplex PNP50 product – a two-stage manifold with a third source entry point.

Featuring a touch screen alarm that shows all three gas sources, the device is a medical gas source for hospital pipelines that reduces the gas pressure in two steps to a constant distribution pressure.

Organised by Informa Life Sciences, the three-day Arab Health 2024 event saw over 130,000 visitors and over 3,300 exhibitors from 76 countries come together to discuss a wide array of sectors including medical devices, diagnostics, digital health/healthcare IT, and healthcare services.
