Engineering firm GTT has received Approval in Principle (AiP) for a membrane type containment system for liquid hydrogen.
Received from ClassNK, the classification society in Japan, the AiP follows a review in accordance with ClassNK’s rules and guidelines dedicated to liquid hydrogen transportation.
The GTT scalable containment system can be adapted to any size of liquid hydrogen carrier without major design modifications.
Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT, said he is proud to have obtained AiP.
