HyGear supplies hydrogen to budding Latvian transport sector


Onsite gas generation specialist HyGear has secured a contract to supply a hydrogen (H2) generation system for Latvia’s budding H2 mobility sector alongside energy and electromobility industry company Hydrogenis.

Under the deal, of which financial details were not disclosed, HyGear will install its Hy.GEN technology in the capital city Riga as part of a H2 filling facility for fuelling fuel cell buses.

HyGear’s Hy.GEN system converts natural gas into H2 via steam methane reforming, offering a “more reliable and cost-effective alternative to conventional supply methods,” according to the company.
