Hypertherm supports young metalworkers with educational grant programme

US industrial cutting systems and software company Hypertherm is supporting the next generation of metalworkers with its 2023 Spark Something Great educational grant.

2023 marks the ninth year of the programme aimed at young metalworkers, and this year 12 programmes were selected from a pool of 104 applicants. Applications included public and vocational schools, as well as colleges from across the US and Canada.

The Hypertherm programme ensures students train on equipment found in the workplace. To do this, each of the selected schools will receive a Hypertherm Powermax45® XP plasma system and in-person training from a Hypertherm industrial cutting expert.

Stephen Bruner, who manages Hypertherm’s educational programme, said he continues to see a strong interest in the grant programme as schools grapple with limited budgets and increasing enrolment.
