Iwatani launches in China

Iwatani International has launched Iwatani Electronics in China, which will function as a warehouse and small cargo delivery agency.

The new facility based in Hua Tong, Shanghai, started operations in October in the Shanghai Wai Gaoqiao Free Trade Zone. Hua Tong area is the largest hub of the semiconductor and electronics industry in China.

According to Iwatani, the purpose of expanding is the handling of electric chemicals such as plating chemicals.

Iwatani Electronics (Shanghai) employs 22 employees, of which 18 are locally hired. The company aims at sales of $3.9 billion for the first year, and $5 billion in 2008.
